We built these ruby halogen heating lamps to do one thing: deliver intense, focused infrared heat—right where you need it. They’re engineered to run on the kind of power you find in industrial settings, like 400V lines, and they can crank out up to 2500W. That voltage isn’t arbitrary. It’s a practical choice that lets you run several lamps off the same circuit without tripping over overloads. And the length? Around 300mm. That’s intentional, too. It gives you enough surface area to hit serious heat density, while still fitting into tight chambers. No wasted space. Just the right amount of heat in the right footprint.
The guts that make it work
At the heart of it is a quartz tube, made with high-purity material that can take the abuse of heating up fast and cooling down just as quickly. It doesn’t crack under the pressure. It just keeps going. That ruby-red coating? It’s not there to look pretty. It shifts the output toward shorter-wavelength infrared, so the heat gets absorbed by the target material—not by the air around it. That means you get more efficient heating, and less wasted energy. And the R7s double-ended connector is a no-brainer. It’s the standard for this size, giving you solid, two-point contact that can handle the high current without getting hot under pressure. Swapping one in is as simple as replacing what’s already there.
Where these shine—and what to keep in mind
These lamps are made for processes where you need heat, fast, and in one spot. Think plastic welding, heating PET preforms, or curing coatings—where speed and control matter. The power density is high, so your cycle times stay short. That can really move your production along. But here’s the catch: concentrated heat means the surrounding area gets hot.
