Why 220V and 400W? Because the sauna deserves a match, not a mismatch.
Here’s the thing about sauna heat: it needs to feel right, and that starts with the wiring. We chose a 220V, 400W setup because it lines up perfectly with what most sauna rooms are already wired for. That 220V keeps the current manageable, so you don’t need to run thick, oversized cables everywhere. And the 400W? It’s just enough punch to deliver intense, focused heat without straining the room’s overall electrical load. What that means for you is simple: you can aim the warmth exactly where you want it—on the benches, by the door, or right along a specific wall—while keeping the controls clean and straightforward.
The halogen secret: warm, direct heat with a softer glow.
Inside the lamp, the halogen cycle works inside a quartz envelope. That lets the filament burn hotter and brighter than a standard bulb, which translates to shortwave infrared heat. And that’s the magic. It warms you—and the surfaces around you—directly, instead of wasting energy heating the air. The ruby coating takes the edge off the visible light, cutting glare and making the experience feel more comfortable, especially in the close quarters of a sauna. Then there’s the R7s base. It’s double-ended, linear, and designed to handle the heat’s expansion. The lamp locks in solid, aligned, with no wobble and no hot spots at the ends.
Putting it in place: powerful heat, but easy to handle.
This lamp is all about concentrated radiant heat where you need it most. The footprint is small, so it slips into tight spots without forcing you to redesign the whole room. But—and this is important—the heat is dense. So you’ll want to get the mounting right. Choose hardware that can take the temperature, keep the clearances, and set the reflector geometry to manage reflected heat. That way, nearby materials stay within their limits. Wire it with the correct gauge, make sure the socket is rated for the job, and you’ve got a heat source you can count on, steady and reliable over the long haul.
