If you’re dealing with 3D printing post-processing or industrial paper drying, you know the struggle of waiting for things to dry. That’s where our halogen infrared lamps come in. Instead of just heating up the air around your project—which is slow and wasteful—these lamps shoot electromagnetic waves straight into the moisture of the material. It’s a much more direct way of doing things. Speed is everything. When you go with a high-wattage tube, you’re getting a concentrated beam of energy. It’s fast. Really fast. You can hit your target temperature in a matter of seconds. If you’re running high-speed paper webs or curing resins, your line speed depends entirely on how quickly you can dry. You have to be careful with your spacing. If the lamp is too close, you’re going to scorch your paper or melt your print. It happens. To avoid that, make sure you’re using a decent PID controller and sensors to keep things under control. One last tip: keep an eye on your power. Voltage spikes are filament killers.
