This thing runs on 400V and cranks out 2500W of power. That’s all about packing a huge amount of heat into a small space. The tube is 300mm long, which focuses that infrared energy into a tight zone. The payoff? You get rapid heating without having to warm up the entire machine bay. It’s fast. Really fast. And that high-voltage design is a smart move, too. It keeps the current lower for the power it delivers, which means you can use smaller wiring and ease up on the stress on your connections.
What’s Inside
Inside the lamp, the halogen cycle is doing the heavy lifting. It continuously redeposits evaporated tungsten back onto the filament. This keeps the heat output consistent and prevents the glass from blackening over time—the very thing that kills a standard incandescent bulb. The envelope itself is made of quartz. That’s a deliberate choice. It can handle the shock of switching on and off constantly, and it lets that shortwave infrared energy pass through cleanly and efficiently. For the connections, we use an R7s base. It’s a simple, tough connector that gives you a solid electrical and mechanical hold, even on equipment that’s constantly vibrating. What It Feels Like On The Job
Out on the floor, this setup shines in applications like PET blowing. You need heat that’s fast and repeatable to soften the preforms, but you can’t afford to overheat the mold around it. This lamp’s shortwave output gets right to the core of the material, which helps keep every cycle consistent. Now, a heads-up. That 2500W of power is intense, so you’ve got to plan for it.
