It’s plenty of power, but it still fits right into those standard industrial heating banks without needing a total redesign of your setup. The Heat Factor When you’ve got 1500W packed into a 626mm tube, you’re getting a lot of concentrated energy exactly where you need it. Here’s the trick: we use a halogen gas fill. Why? Because it stops the tungsten filament from evaporating too quickly. It basically keeps the lamp from burning out prematurely, so you aren’t replacing them every five minutes. Plus, since it runs on 230V, you can just plug it straight into your single-phase industrial power. No messy step-down transformers required. Quartz and Speed The whole element lives inside a high-purity quartz tube. We went with quartz because it handles “thermal shock” like a champ. You know, that brutal jump from cold to scorching hot that happens during rapid cycling? Quartz doesn’t flinch. And because it’s a halogen lamp, it runs hotter than your average IR tube. That means the heat hits shorter wavelengths, which is a fancy way of saying it cuts through plastics and coatings way faster. It ramps up in a blink. A Few Things to Watch Out For These are usually drop-in replacements for curing lines or PET blowing machines, but don’t just “set it and forget it.” 1500W in this size creates amassiveamount of radiant heat. If your reflectors are dusty or slightly crooked, you’re just throwing money away—and you might actually warp your housing. Double-check that your cooling fans can handle the heat load when these things are running at full tilt. One last thing: make sure they’re seated perfectly in the sockets. A loose connection at this wattage will arc, and before you know it, you’ve melted your terminals. Also, keep an eye on your voltage. Big spikes in the line will kill your filament life, and nobody wants to do the same job twice.
